About Andrea Siluk, M.A.

Andrea Siluk obtained her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Florida in 2018. During her graduate coursework she was as a research assistant in the Swallowing Systems Core under the guidance of Dr. Emily Plowman, primarily on research projects targeted at investigating ways to improve and maintain upper aerodigestive tract function in patients with neurologic diseases. Andrea is currently completing her Clinical Fellowship in the Broward Health Hospital system in Fort Lauderdale, Florida working with adults in the acute care and inpatient rehabilitation setting. As a clinical fellow Andrea’s duties include diagnosing and treating individuals with dysphagia and cognitive communication disorders across a variety of diagnosis including stroke, neurodegenerative disease, traumatic brain injury, head and neck cancer, and respiratory dysfunction.
